It is July. We have come to a period of maturation in nature. We have past the solstice and the movement is inward once again.

In these guided meditation sessions, inspired by the brilliant work of Jaap Voigt, it is my aim to help you connect more deeply to nature and its seasons. Fundamental to understand is that we are a part of nature and nature is a part of us. Therefore, the processes that are happening in nature are happening in you as well. By learning to observe your natural environment closely, you will better understand yourself. We too move with the seasons every year. These meditations will help you to understand what is happening in nature, and therefore in you.

These are 10 to 15 minute meditations, carefully crafted with love. Find a quiet spot and go on a journey into nature. Headphones are recommended. You can listen to the guided meditations on Soundcloud or download them directly from my public folder on Keybase. And for those who like to read what I have shared, I have included the transcript below.

Welcome to the guided nature meditation of July. In these sessions, it is my aim to help you connect more deeply to nature and its seasons. Fundamental to understand is that we are a part of nature and nature is a part of us. Therefore, the processes that are happening in nature are happening in you as well. By learning to observe your natural environment closely, you will better understand yourself. We move with the seasons every year.

Today, I will guide you through a short meditation that will help you to understand what is happening in nature, and therefore in you, in the upcoming month of July.

Take a moment to find a comfortable seat. Close your eyes. Make sure your spine is straight, your neck is long, and your chest is lifted. Then relax your belly, your chest, your shoulders. Start by focusing your attention on the breath. See if you are holding onto unnecessary tension somewhere in the body. Use the breath to surrender to whatever is happening inside of you. Breathe evenly and deeply, using the exhale to release and surrender.

I would like to invite you to ask yourself: what is happening inside of my body in this moment? Observe only. Do not get carried away by thoughts, ideas, or concepts when you ask yourself this. Simply stay present, concentrating on the sensations in the body, returning back to the breath whenever you lose your focus.

It is July. We have come to a period of maturation in nature. We have past the solstice and the movement is inward once again. Gently, you can start to allow your creative impulses to ripen. Things you have initiated in the first half of the year start to bear their first fruits. Like last month, make sure you have enough space inside yourself for these fruits to ripen beautifully. Take a moment of silence to do one more thorough weeding inside yourself to make sure you do not allow the things you do not want in your life to mature and settle in. We are still in Summer so things will continue to sprout inside of you, even things you do not want. So work carefully and diligently to not allow destructive habits take over your inner landscape. Again, strengthen the things you do want in your life by giving them enough space.

We have also come to a time of temptation in nature. Everything is lush, colorful and juicy. Be mindful. If you are unsure whether you are offered a fruitful challenge or a seductive temptation that takes you off your course, take the time to investigate. The devil is in the details. And take heed of any destructive element in your life, acting swiftly when you discover one.

Cherish the shapes and forms your work of the first half of the year have taken. Nourish them with great care, love and patience. Allow your manifestations to strengthen and trust that all possibilities for further growth will present themselves. Simply lean back and be in awe of the relentless process of maturation that is happening in nature and therefore in you. This is a wonderful time to be in nature, enjoying the colorful spectacle and waiting for the right time to harvest. Take time to rest and you will know what is good and right for you in this moment. Allow yourself to feel how you become more expansive with little to no effort. Any remaining darkness inside of you will expose itself by itself in the light of your being. Once again, make little to no effort right now, but stay connected to your inner world, ready to receive inspiration when it comes.

As we are approaching the end of this session, I would like to invite you to ask yourself: how can I strengthen and care for everything I have manifested up to now, so that I will be able to harvest the fruits of my labor?

Stay connected to yourself and allow the answer to come from deep within. Do not engage with stories from your past or projections of your future, simply observe the first thing that comes up in this moment.

Take a deep breath in and exhale, letting go of all thoughts for just a little moment. Come back to the body, stretch out, then slowly open your eyes again, coming back to your world. Now, before you get on with your day, take a moment to journal about your discoveries. If you make a commitment to yourself, also think about how you will hold yourself accountable.
